In this collection of major works on canvas, transient visions of the pictorial landscape are suspended within the painting structure, as if in a fleeting glance, the place and mood of the natural world is defined.
Composed upon this structure is a complex arrangement of kaleidoscopic abstract forms, which reinforce the dynamics of movement, drama and subtlety within the painting.
Three-dimensional illusions of space are intertwined with illuminated surfaces that project and recede to express for example, fragments of the natural world, viewed from different times and perspectives.
Light and all it’s variants also provides a resource for constant exploration.Inspired by the landscape in all its forms, all these works are a direct reference to nature, and I hope an ongoing journey of discovery for the viewer. DAVID VOIGT View CV >>
